When playing music, I perceive each sound as a different colour. The sensation of these colourful chords heightens the mood of the music. Consequently, for me, atmosphere is everything and that's what I aim to achieve. I love improvisation, which is the heart of jazz. I have perfect pitch, which enables me to pick up melodies easily and transpose them into whatever key or chord is required. I'm also versatile, whether that is playing the piano, keyboards, drums or guitar.

I play all music styles, be that: Funky Jazz, Soulful Blues, Contemporary Music, Gospel, Pop Classics, Easy Listening or Classical. If you have a personal favourite that isn't in my repertoire, don't worry; I have the ability to recall and quickly replicate any piece of music.

During the past couple of years I have provided backing for a number of local bands and artists, at live gigs and through session work and recordings. I am also developing my skills at composing and currently, I am completing a selection of 18th century compositions for dance that will be featured at National Trust venues. I have also acted as musical director at several plays for a local amateur dramatics group.
